Siphons & transfer
Choose the missing part of the transfer: intake, tubing, support or bottle-end control. A cane positions the intake, a filling wand controls liquid at the bottle, and a clip or valve has its own separate role.
Buying advice & FAQ ↓Choosing siphons & transfer
What changes the purchase?
Compare canes and filling wands by their job
The compact clear Craft a Brew cane has a removable sediment tip and is described for small equipment. The Krome cane provides a stainless intake format. Neither plain cane starts a siphon by itself. At the bottle end, compare the springless ProFiller with sliding clip and the Home Brew Ohio wand with a removable spring.
Keep three kinds of control distinct
The Fermtech clip supports a compatible Regular or Mini Auto-Siphon at the vessel. The JSP clamps pinch suitable soft hose from the outside. The ABC Cork PP valve sits inline between two hose connections and is specified for gravity transfer, excluding hot liquids and pressure use. One kind of control does not provide the others.
Match bore, outside diameter and fitting
SENSTREE’s hose is 1/2 in inside and 3/4 in outside diameter, supplied in a 10 ft length with two fastening clamps. JSP’s selected pinch-clamp scope is below 1/2 in outside diameter, so it is not a matched control for this larger hose. Match each connection and operating condition rather than relying on a shared fraction or brand.
Questions before choosing
Will a racking cane start the transfer automatically?
The plain canes do not supply a starter mechanism. Plan compatible tubing and the actual method of establishing flow.
Is a vessel support clip a hose shutoff?
No. The Fermtech clip supports the compatible siphon. A pinch clamp or inline valve controls a different part of the transfer.
Can I pair the JSP pinch clamp with the half-inch-bore silicone hose?
That match is not established: the hose is 3/4 in outside diameter, above the selected clamp’s below 1/2 in outside-diameter scope.
