This clip supports a compatible Auto-Siphon at the vessel while you work with the transfer line. The maker’s poster shows it mounted at a carboy neck or bucket rim and holding the siphon above sediment. Choose it for that support task, rather than expecting a clamp that pinches a hose to stop liquid flow.
The selected packaging identifies the 3/8-class Regular and Mini Auto-Siphons. Fermtech’s poster separately shows a different clamp size for the 1/2-class Large model. The 3/8 marking is a siphon-class designation here, not a verified measurement of the clip’s jaw opening.
The maker also shows the clip as a place to park a Fermtech bottle filler. That can be useful when organizing the working end between tasks, but it does not turn the support clip into a shutoff valve. Use the actual filling or hose control provided for the transfer setup.
The selected offer supplies one plastic support clip, without the siphon or filler. Choose it when you need a replacement or another compatible support point. Check whether your existing transfer kit already has a suitable clip before adding a duplicate.

Does three-eighths tell me the measured jaw opening?
The selected packaging uses that marking for the Regular/Mini Auto-Siphon class. It is not a verified jaw-diameter measurement for clamping unrelated tubes.
Do I need to add one with the Regular Deluxe kit?
That bundle already lists a support clamp. Buy a separate clip if you actually need a spare or a second compatible setup.
Can it stop flow while the filler is parked?
Parking and support are the documented tasks. Control flow with the appropriate filler or a separately matched hose-control component instead.
