The equipment in use

How this item fits your brewing setup

This bucket offers a clear wall and a lid secured by six latches. It suits a brewer who wants to see the liquid level and contents through the vessel while keeping the access of a removable bucket lid. Compare that combination with an opaque bottling bucket, where the wall itself does not give the same view.

The pictured assembly includes a lid gasket, airlock with drilled bung, side handles and a red-handled spigot. The supplier identifies the material as PP5 plastic. Its advertised 28-litre full capacity and 26-litre marked filling line describe different levels. Neither figure is automatically the right fermentation fill for every recipe.

The supplier describes the lower shape as a V-shaped sediment base. There is no detachable collection jar or separate bottom dump valve in the shown assembly. Choose the stainless dual-outlet conical fermenter if removing settled material through a dedicated lower valve is the function you need; this bucket’s tap is a different arrangement.

For the lid, seat the gasket before closing the six latches, following the supplier’s illustrated sequence. That closure style may suit you better than working around a screw-top neck. Check the supplied cleaning directions for the tap, bung, airlock and seal individually if a hot-cleaning process is important to your setup.

Advice for this reference

Before you choose

Compare clear-wall visibility and closure type, rather than treating all plastic buckets as the same format.

Also check

Use the full-capacity and marked-line figures for their stated roles; plan actual fermentation space from your recipe.

Documented use & care

Seat the gasket before closing the six latches, following the supplier’s illustrated assembly sequence. Follow the actual component instructions for cleaning; no universal hot-cleaning procedure is stated.

Connections & scope

Fit and useful limits

  • No guaranteed clarity, anaerobic environment, sterile result or lack of filtration need is claimed.
  • The advertised 120°C heat-resistance statement is not used as verified permission to boil or heat the complete assembly.
  • No detachable sediment collector, pressure rating or automatic temperature control is established.

Questions about this product

What else should you know?

Is the marked 26 L line always the right fermentation fill?

It is the supplier’s filling line below the advertised 28 L full capacity. Choose the working level for your recipe and required fermentation space; the mark is not a guaranteed batch yield.

Can I remove sediment through a dedicated bottom valve?

No separate bottom dump valve or collection jar is shown. Compare a verified dual-outlet conical fermenter if that operation is important.

What does the six-latch lid change?

It uses latches around a gasketed removable lid. Check that closure style against a standard bucket lid and follow the illustrated gasket-and-latch assembly sequence.
