The equipment in use
The Clover sits in the kettle while cooling water flows through the copper coil. The wort stays in the vessel, so you do not need to transfer it through an internal wort passage in the chiller. Choose this immersion arrangement when access to the outside of the coil for cleaning is useful to your brewing routine.
The selected five-gallon version has a clover-shaped coil and is supplied pre-assembled with two vinyl water leads, a hose adapter and stainless worm clamps. The maker identifies a 3/4 in female garden-hose adapter. An indoor faucet may need a separate compatible adapter; a garden-hose fitting is not a universal kitchen-tap connection.
The large-version dimensions are 10.5 in coil diameter, 21 in from coil base to bend and 6 in coil-profile height. Check these against your kettle opening and liquid depth. Confirm the supplied coil length if it is decisive: the offer gives 12.5 ft while the maker and gallery give 25 ft. None of those figures guarantees a particular cooling time.
The maker calls for cleaning and thorough drying after use. Compare the stainless Silver Serpent if you prefer that material and its drop-angle connection layout. Compare a counterflow unit when you want wort to pass through an external chiller instead of keeping the whole batch in the kettle during cooling.
The selected reference
Before and during use
Compare coil diameter and base-to-bend height with the actual kettle and liquid depth.
Check the water-source connector and arrange the water outlet separately from the wort.
Maker instructions call for cleaning and drying thoroughly after use.
Follow the supplied coil-preparation and cooling instructions for the exact version; do not infer that every flexible hose should be submerged.

Questions about this product
No. This is an immersion chiller: cooling water passes inside the coil while the wort remains around it in the kettle.
No universal fit is established. The maker describes a garden-hose fitting and a separate optional faucet adapter.
Wort then passes through an internal path in an external unit. That adds wort-side plumbing and an internal cleaning requirement.
