The equipment in use
The Anvil immersion chiller cools the batch while wort remains in the kettle. Cooling water passes through the stainless coil, so the wort-contact surface is the outside of the metal tubing. Choose this arrangement when you want to remove the coil and access that surface directly after use.
The selected coil-length specification is 28 ft, with 10 ft of hose plus fittings and clamps. The product photos show the coil and hose supplies separately. Plan assembly and water-lead routing from the supplied instructions rather than assuming the hose already arrives as two attached leads.
A garden-hose adapter is included, but that does not establish a fit to every indoor faucet. Check the water source, actual connection and kettle clearance before choosing it. Package dimensions are not a dependable drawing of the coil’s operating height or its usable immersion depth.
Compare the pre-assembled Silver Serpent when its angled connection layout and ready-attached tubing are the useful differences. Compare the copper Clover when you want that material and coil shape. None of these choices establishes a fixed cooling time, which still depends on the actual water supply, batch and setup.
