The equipment in use
This is a thermowell: a closed-ended pocket that receives a separate temperature probe. Choose it when your installation calls for a metal barrier between that probe and the liquid. The supplied part has no sensor, display or controller, so it cannot show a temperature by itself.
The specified connection is 1/2 NPT male. Match the thread type as well as the nominal size to the receiving port; the number does not describe the probe bore. The open end must also accept your probe diameter and length, neither of which is established as a universal fit.
The listing specifies 201 stainless steel. That is a material choice to check against the liquid and cleaning process you intend to use, rather than a reason to assume the part is 304 or 316 stainless. The illustrated 12.1 cm dimension spans the whole part, including the mounting section; it is not a confirmed immersion length.
Choose a complete threaded dial such as the FERRODAY if you need an instrument with a visible reading. Choose this thermowell only when you already have, or are selecting, a compatible probe and measuring instrument. The mounting seal and vessel-wall arrangement still need to suit the installation.

Check that 201 stainless suits your liquid and cleaning requirements.
The selected care field says wipe clean; no specific chemical compatibility or hot-cleaning cycle is established.

Questions about this product
The display needs a compatible sensor. The thermowell is a passive pocket, not a wired probe.
No. It describes the mounting thread. Check the internal bore and usable insertion length separately.
That depends on the vessel port. An existing suitable threaded fitting and an unthreaded wall require different mounting arrangements; neither is confirmed by the thermowell thread alone.
