The equipment in use
These Tlence filters use screw-on lids to enclose the addition inside a mesh cylinder. Choose this format when you want a closed container rather than the open top of a kettle-rim hop spider. Two filters let you prepare separate additions or keep a second container available; they are not two cartridges in a powered filter system.
Each cylinder is specified at approximately 7 in long and 2.8 in across. Check the access opening and internal clearance of the intended vessel. The ring on a lid is a suspension point, but the package does not establish a supplied chain or a ready-made attachment for every kettle or fermenter.
The supplier specifies stainless steel mesh with 300-micron openings. The container holds the addition while liquid passes through; that does not promise complete removal of fine sediment or a particular aroma result. A lid is a closure for the contents, not a pressure-control or gas connection.
Nylon-bristle cleaning brushes are shown with the filters. The supplier calls for brushing out remaining residue and rinsing with water. Compare the TIZZE large basket for open access during kettle additions, or cotton Regency bags for a disposable fabric option. Choose by opening, closure and cleaning routine before comparing mesh material alone.
