The equipment in use

How this item fits your brewing setup

These caps provide two accessory connections on a compatible glass carboy neck. That is the practical difference from a single-hole bung: you can plan separate connections for the equipment your process uses. Check the stem or tubing connections you intend to make; the cap itself does not supply those accessories.

The selected offer contains four silicone caps with plugs for the two ports on each cap. Small parking posts hold the plugs when they are removed. The supplier describes fit for 3-,5- and 6-gallon glass carboy jugs, but the actual neck shape remains the fit you need to check. This is a stretch-on cap, not a threaded wide-mouth fermenter lid.

The removable plugs let you change between accessory connections and a closed cap configuration. The parking posts keep unused plugs with the cap while you work. Plan which ports your process uses, and fit a suitable airlock separately when a gas-release connection is required; the plugged cap does not supply that function itself.

The supplier states that the silicone cap parts are dishwasher-safe. Treat separate airlocks, tubing and racking canes according to their own instructions. Choose a dedicated FerMonster lid if you need a replacement threaded lid, or a drilled bung-and-airlock set if one connection is sufficient for your actual vessel.

Before and during use

Advice for this reference

Before you choose

Choose by the accessory connections you need and the actual glass neck, not just nominal vessel volume.

Also check

Distinguish stretch-on carboy caps from a threaded FerMonster lid or drilled bung.

Documented use & care

The selected supplier permits dishwasher washing for the cap parts. This permission is not extended to separate mounted accessories or to a carboy.

Connections & scope

Fit and useful limits

  • Universal-fit marketing and comparison percentages are not treated as a measured guarantee.
  • The engineering graphic does not explicitly state units; its numbers are not published as millimetre dimensions.
  • No airlock, siphon, racking cane, pressure rating or heating permission is added to the supplied-cap claim.

Questions about this product

What else should you know?

Is fit established for a 6.5-gallon glass carboy?

The selected fit claim names 3-, 5- and 6-gallon glass jugs. Fit for a 6.5-gallon neck is not established; compare the actual neck with the supplier’s fit guidance before ordering.

Can I plan one connection for a cane and the other for an airlock?

The cap provides two accessory ports, but the actual cane and airlock connections must each match. The offer does not supply those accessories or establish every stem size as compatible.

Can the white plugs stay out while I work?

The cap has parking posts to hold removed plugs. Decide which ports your setup uses and keep the unused connection appropriately closed according to that process.
