The equipment in use
The AG435 uses a 36 in hardwood shaft and a T-handle for stirring grain in a mash vessel. Choose it when reach is a practical limitation with shorter brewing utensils. Check the vessel depth and the available movement above the rim: overall length alone does not describe how much handle will remain above the mash.
The T-handle gives a crosswise grip, a different hand position from the straight end of a spoon or the hanging hook of the Anvil paddle. The photographed head has open slots. These features describe how the tool is held and moved through grain; they do not establish a measured reduction in effort or a guaranteed extraction gain.
The material is hardwood. The supplier does not clearly identify a dependable wood species, coating specification or cleaning procedure, so those details should be confirmed if they determine your choice. Do not buy it on an assumption that it is a particular type of maple or that a dishwasher cycle is approved.
Compare the 24 in stainless Anvil paddle if a shorter tool will suit the vessel and you prefer a metal working surface. Compare the 16 in Spaddle if a full-length T-handle tool would be awkward for your smaller batch. The AG435 is one paddle, without a mash tun or any other brewing equipment.
